0 to 70 in 12 weeks

70 stripes

Not as impressive as 0 to 60 in 6 weeks sadly, but I am now finally in sight of the end of this project. Apart from slowing dramatically in recent weeks, I have enjoyed it immensely.

I reached the 70th stripe whilst spending an evening alone in a hotel in Cambridge while being away for work yesterday evening. It’s a good job there was no one there to see me standing on the chair in my room to get the whole blanket in shot to take a photo of my work.

It’s half term next week and I will be off work and in need of some serious de stressing so hopefully the final 10 stripes will just fly off my crochet hook in the not too distant future.

This is a fairly short post as after the last couple of days I am absolutely shattered. I can’t resist adding one more picture showing some of these really lovely colourful stripes.

lots of lovely stripes

Fantasmagorical!!! I am going to have to get down to one of these one day!.. Pity there wasn’t a mirror there, reflecting you standing on the chair taking the picture!

So pretty! I’m making this blanket at the moment too. I was a little over ambitious with the width, though, so it’s slow progress. 22 stripes in about 6 weeks, I think! I was considering putting a border round mine afterwards, but yours looks so lovely without one I might think again.
